Bit 7 ICNC1: Input Capture Noise Canceler
Setting thisbit (to one) activates the Input Capture Noise Canceler. When the Noise
Canceler is activated, theinput from the Input CapturePin(ICP1) isfiltered.The filter
function requiresfoursuccessive equal valuedsamples of the ICP1 pin forchanging its
output. Theinput captureis therefore delayedbyfourOscillator cycleswhen the noise
canceler is enabled.
Bit6–ICES1:InputCaptureEdgeSelect
Thisbit selectswhich edge on the Input CapturePin(ICP1) that is used to trigger a cap-
tureevent.When the ICES1 bit iswritten to zero, a falling (negative) edge is used as
trigger, andwhen the ICES1 bit iswritten to one, a rising (positive) edge will trigger the
capture.
When a captureis triggered accordingtothe ICES1 setting, the counter value iscopied
into the Input CaptureRegister(ICR1).The event will also set the Input Capture Flag
(ICF1), and thiscan beused to causeanInput Capture Interrupt, if this interruptis
enabled.
